Welcome Dr. Sharri Zamore

This week we welcome a new lab member, Dr. Sharri Zamore. Sharri is postdoc supported by an NSF fellowship in biology. She'll be working on mechanisms of control in flying snakes. Sharri is a neuroscientist who recently finished her PhD at the University of Washington under advisors Drs. Adrienne Fairhall and Tom Daniel. Her dissertation is an exciting piece of work on how mosquitoes navigate plumes using thermal cues. In the photo here, Sharri is dissecting the brain of the snake Chrysopelea paradisi. It's a good sign that she's hit the ground cutting!
