Matt Giarra defends his PhD

Congratulations to Matt Giarra, who successfully defended his dissertation today. Matt's PhD dissertation is titled "The Signal in the Noise: Understanding and Mitigating Decorrelation in Particle Image Velocimetry". His primary advisor was Dr. Pavlos Vlachos of Purdue, who was faculty member in ME here for many years, and Socha was his co-advisor. Matt is moving on to a very nice research position at the Applied Physics Lab (APL) in DC.
