
Khaled wins imaging prize at SICB 2019
Congratulations to Khaled Adjerid, who won the he Ralph and Mildred Buchsbaum Prize for Excellence in Photomicrography, B/W Division. This prize was awarded for his SEM work on the tracheal system of beetles, presented in a poster at the Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology 2019 (Tampa).


Melissa competes in the DCB student award session
Today Melissa Kenny presented her talk "Effects of environmental temperature on viscosity of Manduca sexta hemolymph" in the Division of Comparative Biomechanics student award session at this year's SICB conference (in Tampa). Melissa didn't win, but she gave a really strong talk, and was in the running for the prize. Thanks to undergrad lab member Kristie Crandall and collaborator Dr. Brent Sinclair (U.
