Visit by Dr. Lorena Barba
Dr. Lorena Barba was in town this week to give a seminar on how she uses open science practices in her research. It was an eye-opening talk. Lorena is also a collaborator, and we talked flying snake research as well. Her student Olivier Mesnard joined her on the trip.

Our lab's BugFest booth
Our lab participated in the annual BugFest again with an updated booth on the biomechanics of drinking in insects. Thanks to everyone who volunteered to help: grad students Talia Weiss, Jack Whitehead, and Melissa Kenny, and undergrads Mela Coffey, Amanda Butynes, and Suinda Ossenkopp. Talia spearheaded the whole effort -- great job!
